<B>Pierre Muret <I>Rites of Funeral Ancient and Modern, in Use Through the Known World</B></I></B></I> (London: R. Royston, 1683), first edition, two parts 308 pages and 126 pages respectively, 16mo (4" x 6"), bound in contemporary brown calf with decorative spine and Moroccan leather spine label, translated from the French by Paul Lorrain. A dedication to Samuel Pepys from the translator follows the title page. The pages are in remarkably sound condition with only some reasonable age toning. The boards are scuffed and show heavy wear along the edges. The spine is cracked from head to foot. <BR><BR><B>Important notice
