This painting originates from Haschu’s active period in Berlin (1995-2005). It is titled “King with Air Balloon”. The very personal style of Haschu with big colour fields is highly abstract but still objective. The painting reminds of the time of the German Expressionism and the art group The Bridge (founded 1906), although Haschu’s subjects are more dream-like and playful. He sets contrasts that might at first not make sense for the viewer.



The oil painting is in very good condition. “King with Air Balloon” is signed with “H1” and the dimensions of the canvas that is mounted on a wooden wedge frame are 100 x 119.5 cm.



Murat Haschu (born 1969)

Murat Haschu is a Russian painter and media artist. From 1990-1995, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vladikavkaz (RU). For the ten following years, he worked as a self-employed artist in Berlin. In 2005, he started studying at Burg Giebichstein Academy for Art and Design in Halle (Saale). He was announced a member of the Russian Arts Federation in 2006 and lives in Halle (Saale) until today.
