The Andy Griffith Show is an American sitcom first televised on CBS between October 3, 1960 and April 1, 1968, which partially originated from an episode of The Danny Thomas Show. It stars Andy Griffith, who portrays the widowed sheriff of the fictional small community of Mayberry, North Carolina. His life is complicated by an inept but well-meaning deputy, Barney Fife (Don Knotts), Aunt Bee (Frances Bavier), a spinster aunt and housekeeper, and Opie (Ron Howard), a precocious young son. Local bumbling pals, and temperamental girlfriends further complicate his life. Regarding the tone of the show, Griffith said that despite a contemporary setting, the show attempted to emulate nostalgia, stating in a Today Show interview: "Well, though we never said it, and though it was shot in the 1960s, it had a feeling of the 1930s. It was, when we were doing it, of a time gone by."
The series never placed lower than seventh in the Nielsen ratings and ended its final season at number one. On separate occasions, it has been ranked by TV Guide as the 9th-best and 13th-best show in American television history Though neither Griffith nor the show won awards during its eight-season run, co-stars Knotts and Bavier accumulated a combined total of six Emmy Awards. The series spawned its own spin-off, Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. (1964), a sequel series, Mayberry R.F.D. (1968), and a reunion telemovie, Return to Mayberry (1986). Reruns of the show are often aired on TV Land and Me TV, while the complete series is available on DVD. The show has also been made available on streaming video services such as Netflix. An annual festival celebrating the show, Mayberry Days, is held each year in Griffith's hometown of Mount Airy, North Carolina.

A bid being placed on an auction item is an agreement to the auction terms and conditions as explained below. Pristine Auction is a JCK Enterprises L.L.C. company.
Bidder Registration: All bidder's must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the auction. Pristine auction reserves the right to suspend a registered user and/or cancel the bid of a registered user for any reason.
Bidding: Minimum bid increment is 5% of the current high bid. Bids are accepted 24 hours a day directly through our website (www.pristineauction.com). Our site will automatically generate and send an e-mail when a bidder is outbid on an auction. This is provided as a courtesy service to our bidders and is a non-guarantee service. Although rare, it is possible for our site to encounter interruptions in service or malfunctions. We reserve the right to suspend, cancel, or extend auctions that have been affected by such an occurrence. At the end of each auction, winning bidders will be notified as soon as possible via e-mail. Extended Bidding: Our auction timer corresponds with Eastern Standard Time. All auctions are set up with a 10 minute extended bidding period. The extended bidding period is initiated once an auction countdown is below 10 minutes. During the extended bidding period, all new bids reset the auction countdown to 10 minutes. An auction ends when no new bids are entered for a full 10 minutes. Each auction is on an independent timer so auctions will end at different times.
Returns: All items are shown and described to the best of our ability. Please ask any necessary questions before placing a bid. Items authenticated by an industry recognized third party authenticator may not be returned. Items accompanied by a Pristine Auction LOA can be returned for authenticity purposes if they have been reviewed and rejected by an acceptable authenticator. Acceptable authenticators are as follows: PSA/DNA, JSA, Global Authentics, or PAAS. All auction sales are final except in very limited circumstances (as described above or if a lot is grossly misrepresented). If winning bidder believes a lot was misrepresented he/she must contact us within 7 days of receipt of the lot with written explanation of the alleged gross error. If it is deemed that a gross error has occurred, it is the Buyer's responsibility to return the lot in question within seven (7) days of notice or evaluation.
Reserve: We reserve the right to place a reserve on auctions. Reserves are determined before the start of an auction. If bidding does not meet or exceed the predetermined reserve price, the lot will be returned to the consignor or relisted into a future auction.
Auction Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel an auction at any time for any reason.
Disputes: If any disputes arise, legal action will go before the AAA (American Arbitration Association) and will take place in Arizona. By bidding on the auction (and thus agreeing to our auction policies) the right to trial by jury in any and all legal disputes is forfeited.
