Jahangir (1605-1627 AD), silver rupee, Kabul mint, 'Inayat' couplet, AH 1030, Liddle Jahangir S101, 11.22g. Obv: Farsi hemistich Sikka zad dar Shahr Kabul az Inayat Ilah (“struck coin in the city of Kabul by grace of the Divine”). Rev: Farsi hemistich Shah Nur al-din Jahangir ibn Akbar Badshah (“King Nooruddin Jahangir, the son of Emperor Akbar”).

Very fine, Very rare.

The 'Inayat' couplet was chiefly employed on coins of Ahmadabad mint, but this is the only other instance of its usage. The type is probably the rarest among all couplet issues of Jahangir of normal weight standard.
