Jahandar Shah (1712 AD) - silver rupee of Katak mint, 'Abu al-Fath' couplet, RY2, 11.08g, with a very unusual legend layout on the reverse, omitting the 'Manoos Maimanat' part and adding a letter 'Re' and small s-shaped shosha in its stead. Furthermore, the RY mentioned is 2, while Jahandar Shah did not reign beyond his first (Ahd) RY. Both these aspects make the coin interesting. Weight and signs of circulation indicate that it is, in all probability, not an extra-monetary imitation.

Good very fine, Extremely rare.
