Aurangzeb, Gold 1/2 Hon, 1.70g, Guti Mint, RY (48), Obv: Persian legend “Alamgir Shahi”, Rev: Mint name and RY. Very fine, very rare.
The fort of Guti (Gooty) was captured by the Mughals following the fall of the Qutb Shahi sultanate. Later in Aurangzeb's reign, it was controlled by the Miyana Afghans (who subsequently became Nawabs of Kadapa and Saonoor).
