Akbar (1556-1605 AD), anonymous denominational copper coinage, dateless type, Nisfi or ½ Dam, 9.64g. Obv: Eight -pointed star design. Rev: Farsi legend Nisfi.

Very fine, Very rare.

In 1582, Akbar celebrated the 'Islamic Millennium' and struck a series of dateless and mintless coins. Copper coins inscribed only with denominations were struck at this time. They comprise an enigmatic, yet elegant series of Akbar's coinage.
