Mueller, Karl von & S.T. 'Estee' Conatser. THE JOURNALS OF EL DORADO. BEING A DESCRIPTIVE BIBLIOGRAPHY ON TREASURE AND SUBJECTS PERTAINING THERETO. A WAYBILL TO DISCOVERY AND ADVENTURE. Ram Publishing Company, Dallas. 1977. 12mo. (2), viii, 370, (4) pages. Original pictorial card covers. First edition. ex Don Volle Library. Very Good. This book is the best bibliography of lost and buried treasure, prospecting, history of the American West as it relates to finding treasure, etc. In this book there are thousands of references on every aspect of treasure hunting. A detailed index helps guide the researcher through this treasure trove of information. For the book, Ms. Conatser catalogued KvonM's extensive research library. The authors had a falling out, and this book was never reprinted. Many copies have underlinings and former owner's notes. This one does not. Very Scarce.

'The books devoted in their entirety to lost and hidden treasure and the mechanics of treasure hunting are merely the beginning. Treasure stories, legends, leads, all-important background information, and other data pertaining either directly or indirectly to treasure trove can be found in books on almost every conceivable subject.' – from the Introduction

'THE JOURNALS OF EL DORADO is an extremely important tool for treasure hunters, archaeologists, historians, prospectors, collectors, and writers. A definitive book that can lead to lost treasures, relics, and artifacts…a valued addition to my own working library!' – Robert F. Marx

'ANY page in this book can put you on the right trail to lost wealth and adventure! Compiled by two of the best treasure researchers in the business.' - Charles Garrett

Miller, Charles Dean [a.k.a. Karl von Mueller, KvonM, Half of Deek Gladson, 'The Dean of American Treasure Hunters']. Karl did more than any other person to popularize the sport of treasure hunting. He was a very successful treasure hunter (and one cannot truthfully state that about many treasure writers) and he was most generous with his time and hard-won knowledge. He wrote several books that are essential reading for the treasure hunter who wants to be a treasure finder. He often wrote that many useful books for the 'th'er' don’t have treasure in the title, however, many of his did, and they have been more than useful. Karl's trademark expression was 'Exanimo!' It is loosely translated as 'You'd better believe it!' He was a rock of a man and it was all pure ore. Lot weight: 1 lbs 0oz. Subject(s): Treasure Hunting Bibliography.
