Mrs. Fatty Arbuckle Signed Document
Interesting typed letter signed from Minta Arbuckle, wife of notorious comedian Fatty Arbuckle, 6 x 8, dated August 18, 1964. Addressed to the Superior Court of Los Angeles, Arbuckle requests to be excused from her jury duty summons, writing in part: "This note is to explain who I am and why I can't serve honestly on a jury. I sat at the trial of my late husband, Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle, in San Francisco, thru three trails. At present my health is not too good...Also excitement brings on terrible palpatations..." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original 8 x 11 summons letter sent to Arbuckle, which is also signed on the reverse by Arbuckle. A choice lot with a nice reference to the Fatty Arbuckle trial.
