<B>Movie Comics #1 Davis Crippen ("D" Copy) pedigree (DC, 1939) CGC GD/VG 3.0 Cream to off-white pages.</B></I> This "scarce" book (so designated by both Overstreet and Gerber) came out quite early in DC's publishing history, preceding series like <B>Superman</B></I> and <B>Batman</B></I>. Overstreet once called this comic "The first movie adaptation in standard comic book form and probably the first attempt at a fumetti continuity," fumetti meaning photographs with accompanying text. Overstreet 2006 GD 2.0 value = $335; VG 4.0 value = $670.
