1) Mountain City, Gilpin, 1863 (1860-1869). Rare Colorado cover. Double ring stamp. Mountain City was the first of many towns in the Clear Creek area near Central City. It came and went in the late 1850's, but with the war, miners moved back to the area. By 1870 there was little left of the town.2) Egalite (misspelled Eagalite), Mesa, June 1, 1891. (1885-1901). Single ring with target killer. 1c stamped envelope and a 5c stamp. Post office moved and name changed to Plateau City.
