Most Interesting Short Snorter.
Ten World War Two era notes comprise this Short Snorter. The back of the $1 North Africa note has the autographs of Clark Gable and Irving Berlin. This Philippines Pick 109a was signed by Japanese General Tomoyuki Yamashita commander of Japanese ground forces in the Philippines. He was captured in September 1945 and stood trial for war crimes. It was at this time that the general and the Short Snorter owner paths crossed. Yamashita was found guilty and executed on February 23, 1946. A penned line to this effect has been written on the back of the P-109a. Also, a more detailed account of the acquiring of the three important signatures on this Short Snorter is included with this lot.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
