Mosin Nagant Made in Sestroretsk Weapons Factory Russia 1917 Surplus Rifle

The Mosin Nagant is a five-shot, bolt-action, internal magazine fed military rifle.
Known officially as the 3 line rifle M1891. In Russia and the former Soviet Union as
Mosin's rifleand informally just mosinka, it is primarily chambered for the 7.62×54R
cartridge.

Developed from 1882 to 1891, it was used by the armed forces of the Russian
Empire, the Soviet Union and various other states.

This is a great example of the these with markings that read: Sestroretsk Weapons
Factory 1917.
This is one of the more collectible manufacturers, the Sestroretsk factory produced
M91 rifles near St. Petersburg from 1893 - 1918.

The rifles were also tested for their accuracy at the factory, and the minimum
requirement was probably around 5 MOA.
If the rifle passed the test, it was stamped with a K in a circle as this one is stamped.

This unit is a captured by Finland model as shown by the SA stamp.
The most common capture marking is from Finland, who stamped a SA in a box
on their rifles. This stands for Suomen Armeij, indicating Finnish Army property.
Finland began using this marking on June 26th, 1942.

Wood is in good condition The rear stock has the typical splice line where
the lower part of the rear stock is fixed to the upper during original manufacture.

The barrel is the typical Hex receiver and round barrel.
The bore has strong rifling but is dark.

Overall condition is 7/10 as is tyypical of Military Surplus rifles.
