Mort Meskin crafted this modern adaptation of the Bard's classic tale of murder and betrayal most foul with his hallmark use of dramatic blacks and "cinematic panel staging." This killer-diller Meskin masterpiece is most likely an "inventory story." When the Comics Code came in, there would have been little way to restructure the murderous plot to satisfy the conservative restrictions laid down by the Code, so "Mac Beth" may have gone unpublished. Meskin's influence on other comic book legends such as Joe Kubert, Jerry Robinson, Alex Toth, and Steve Ditko was profound. No Golden Age comic art collection would be complete without at least one example of his brilliant art. Each page of this story has an image area of 12" x 18", and aside from a couple of original art panel piece-ins (visible from the back), the art is in Very Good condition.

Shipping: Large Flat (view shipping information)
