One of a very few $3 denomination notes that survive on this Mormon bank. This high grade Crisp Uncirculated example is one of the finest this cataloger has seen. It is beautiful, with original paper surfaces and the penned signatures of B. Hunter and R. Cermally, which has two small ink spread dots. Mormon Bank issued (not government) currency. In all four corners of the front is a circle with an intricate design around the number "3." Centered at the top in black, block print "The Drovers Bank" followed by "Will Pay THREE Dollars On Demand to the Bearer." Below the "3" in the upper left corner is "Salt Lake City, July 12, 1856" and below the upper right "3" is "Utah." Near the lower right "3" is a red serial number "999." In the center is a detailed vignette illustration of four cows, a bull and several sheep. On the reverse side in orange are three overlapping circles created with rings of the number "3." This historic UTAH note was printed by famed engraver W. L. Ormsby. A rare $3 note, missing in most collections.
