TWO COIN SET! One of the last Morgan dollar issues of the Old South, this guaranteed mint-state 1902 New Orleans Mint legend is well over one hundred years old! Five decades ago, it was one of the key raritiesin the Morgan silver dollar series. Then bags of them were discovered in the last major U.S. Treasury silver dollar releases and this coveted issue became easily affordable.In 1962, the 1904-O Morgan silver dollar was one of the three costliest rarities in America's favorite series, listing for $350 in Uncirculated quality. Only a few thousand were known to exist in any condition. Then the last U.S. Treasurysilver dollar releases stunned the collecting world: numerous bags emerged from government vaults containing pristine 1904-O Morgans. Today no other BU in the entire Morgan silver dollar series costs so little compared to its peak price.
