Circa 1905 Morgan Bulkeley Signed Cut Signature with Theodore Roosevelt Handwritten Note on Verso. This tough Hall of Famer's term of service to the U.S. Senate of 1905 to 1911 allows us to pinpoint this clipped autograph to that era, as he signs his endorsement of an apparent commission of employment. Of course it is Bulkeley's earlier life that makes him the target of serious autograph collectors, most notably his role as the National League's first President and his affiliation with the famed Hartford Dark Blues of the National Association. His 9+/10 black fountain pen autograph joins two fellow politicians on this 3.5x7" clipping. The paper itself shows no flaws worthy of mention. Intriguingly, the backside of this clipped paper houses a note from sitting President Teddy Roosevelt on verso, who writes, "Sec'y Shaw [Secretary of Treasury], I would greatly like to make this appointment. Is there objection? TR." The colored blue pencil is a bold 10/10. LOA from PSA/DNA.
