Moore’s patent .41 rimfire caliber derringer, factory deluxe engraved, silver plated, serial #2978. The Moore shows New York style scroll engraving of standard pattern, other than left side of frame showing a pattern ofsand piper in marsh. The derringer is in good to very good condition with 50-70% original darkened silver. Areas where the finish has lifted show a natural brass patina. The pistol shows some knackering or small chatter marks on top of frame and edges of barrel. The hammer shows most of its original case hardening. The markings are good, the edges are good, the bore very good. A good early derringer. Est: $2,250 - $4,500
