Estimate: $750 - 1500
Manufactured circa 1864 to 1870. Brooklyn address on top of the barrel, with patent marking on the cylinder. The silver plated brass frame has a scroll and punch dot engraving on the sides with engraved recoil shields. Small hinged swivel gate mounted on the right side of the barrel lug and fitted with two-piece grips. Included is a wood and glass display case, with red felt, and a Native American, possible Cheyenne, brain tanned deer skin beaded holster, with fringe.
BBL: 3 1/4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 32 teat-fire
Finish: silver/brass/blue
Grips: walnut
Serial Number: 4327
Condition: Good. The barrel and cylinder retain almost none of the original blue finish. The balance is a silver/gray, with pitting overall. The frame retains traces of the silver plating, under the cylinder, on the bottom, and protected areas by hammer. The remaining brass balance has a dark patina. Cylinder is loose. Grips are fair with some minor bruising and a hairline crack in right panel. Mechanically needs work. Beaded holster is very good.
