Manufactured by Moore circa 1860 to 1865. The top of the barrel is marked "MOORE'S PAT. F.A. CO. BROOKLYN N.Y." and "FEB 24 1863" on the underside. Half-moon blade front sight and hammer notch rear sight. The silver plated brass frame has a broad scroll engraving with the grip area having checkered panels on the sides and fancy checkering on the back. The sides of the barrel feature wedges of scrollwork at the breech with a star and arrow motif.

Good. The barrel has a smooth bright gray patina with extensive minor pitting. The frame retains approximately 20% of the original silver plating with the exposed brass having an even aged patina.
