Manufactured by Moore circa 1860 to 1865. The top of the barrel is marked "MOORE'S PAT. F.A. CO. BROOKLYN N.Y." and "FEB 24 1863" on the underside. The rear of the barrel is marked with the assembly number "96T". The breech end sides of the barrel and frame are engraved with floral scroll designs with punch dot background on the frame. The sides of the barrel have arrows pointing forward and a small star burst at the muzzle end. Half-moon blade front sight and hammer notch rear sight and all silver plated.

Condition: Fine. The barrel retains 75% original silver finish with scattered speckled blistering and a smooth dark gray patina on the balance. The frame retains 40% original silver with an untouched dark aged patina on the exposed brass. The markings are readable and the engraving crisp. The barrel release button is a crude period replacement. Mechanically excellent.
