Moore’s Patent Firearms Co. No. 1 Deringer, .41 cal., 2-1/2” barrel, blue and silver plated finish, engraved, #967 in overall fine condition showing the majority of its silver finish on the brass frame and approx. 65% original blue on the barrel with sharp engraving, very good to near fine bore and crisp action. The Moore was the first of the large caliber metallic cartridge deringer pistols. National succeeded Moore in 1865 and in turn, was purchased by Colt in 1870. A really nice, clean Moore with lots of blue and silver. Est.: $700-$1,400.
