This large earthenware vase is a limited edition piece in the Ryden Lane pattern, designed by Rachel Bishop for Moorcroft Pottery. The vessel is of baluster form with a flared rim and narrow neck. The exterior features tubelined decoration depicting densely layered flora, including thistles, wildflowers, berries, and seedheads rising amid scrolling foliage. The design is executed on a pale celadon ground with dark navy-blue accents at the neck and foot. The underside is marked with the impressed Moorcroft and Made in England backstamps, a painted '97 date mark, and the hand-painted edition number 34/100. The base also bears the hand-painted signature of the designer Rachel Bishop.
