Large Moorcroft Pottery vase featuring the Talwin design from the Prestige collection, created by Nicola Slaney and further decorated by Anji Davenport. This vase is hand-decorated using Moorcroft's signature tubelining technique and vividly glazed in a palette of deep cobalt blue, ivory-cream, pink, green, and pale blue. The symmetrical floral motif prominently features stylized flowers, flanked by pairs of white doves, evoking peace and harmony within a densely layered, flowing botanical scene. The Talwin design pays homage to Talwin Morris (British, 1865-1911), a notable figure of the Arts and Crafts Movement and Art Nouveau era, best known for his work as Art Director of Blackie & Son publishers and for his distinctive Glasgow Style patterns. Nicola Slaney drew inspiration from Morris's elegant linear forms and organic motifs, translating them into ceramic form with meticulous attention to pattern repetition and balance. The vase is marked on the underside with the impressed MOORCROFT mark and script signature, along with "Made in Stoke-on-Trent, England." Additional painted marks include the monogram and signature of Nicola Slaney in green and the year 2014. The dimensions are approximate.
