Moorcroft pottery plate featuring the Plum Trees and Bird pattern designed by Sally Tuffin circa 1995. Tuffin, a celebrated British designer and leading force in Moorcroft's late 20th century revival, introduced bold natural themes that are highly sought after by collectors. A compelling example of modern Moorcroft art from a high-demand designer era. Decorated in vivid tube-lined detail with plum clusters and a red bird against a cream ground and green border. The tube lined decoration reflects the Florian tradition established by William Moorcroft at the turn of the twentieth century, where raised slip outlines and translucent glazes created the glowing floral style that remains the hallmark of Moorcroft design. The motif carries traditional symbolism, with the plum representing vitality, renewal, and abundance, while the bird symbolizes harmony and freedom. Together they form an emblem of resilience and joy in nature. The underside is impressed Moorcroft and Made in England with painted WM monogram, confirming its studio origin.
