This exquisite Moorcroft mini vase showcases the 'Orchid' pattern, a design introduced by William Moorcroft in 1928 and further developed by his son, Walter Moorcroft, in the 1940s. The vase features vibrant, raised floral decoration in shades of purple, yellow, and green, set against a deep blue background. The tube-lined decoration reflects the Florian tradition established by William Moorcroft at the turn of the twentieth century, where raised slip outlines and translucent glazes created the glowing floral style that remains the hallmark of Moorcroft design. Crafted from ceramic and adorned with the distinctive underglaze technique, this piece is both a functional item and a collector's gem. The vase is stamped with the classic Moorcroft mark on the bottom, indicating its origin from Stoke-on-Trent, England.
