Well over 100 years old, Monumental Hall Tree with Mirror. In the magnificant splendor of a golden era, this Renaissance Revival Hall tree with mirror will be a focal point and statement piece for anyone who appreciates the craftsmanship and carvings of the Victorian era. All original finish, has the original hooks, the original cast iron drip pans that are in the shape of winged bats with faces. The umbrella holders are lamenated in 3 lamenents each. Has it's original gold incising throughout the piece. Has the Italian marble shelf, flanked drawer underneath with burl throughout the crest. Measures approx. 56" wide x 9 1/2 feet tall. The piece is an extradinary master craftsmen built piece. Was rumored to be in a famous railroad station, and you can picture this piece as being seen by thousands of travelers in a place like Grand Central Station. Crest removes easily at the top. The sides come off for the umbrella holders, marble top, marble shelf comes off, drawer at base comes out, cast iron drip pans come out. We have been waiting for this piece for close to 25 years and are very, very lucky to be able to offer it to our customers. This piece graced the former "Old Corner Café" in Naugatuck, CT which had been in existance for over 100 years, a famous Irish Pub. This is piece is not just a piece of furniture, but a piece of history. Just absolutely phenominal in style and craftsmanship! We certainly do not see many of these extraordinary pieces in the marketplace today, and they are very hard to find.

Pick up of items will be done at the convenience and scheduling of the auctioneer only. If you cannot make a scheduled pick up time, additional fees may apply. If pick up cannot be arraigned within 5 days, payment must be sent prior to pick up or delivery. If you are picking up items that have not been paid for, we will accept CASH ONLY at time of pick up, however, payment must be made within 5 days of auction. b) For invoices $1,000 and under are BANK MONEY ORDER OR CASHIER'S CHECK. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL OR CREDIT CARDS. Please do not mail cash. An additional $20 fee will be charged for wire transfers of funds under $1,000. For invoices above $1,000, we require payment by bank wire transfer. In either case payment must be paid in full within 5 business days of sale, otherwise Auctioneer may resell merchandise at public or private sale and retain 20% deposit as liquidated damages. In either case, payment must be made in full within 5 business days of sale. Failure to make payment within 5 business days will also result in an additional $50 fee to be added to your invoice to cover additional collection costs.
c) Your bid constitutes a legally binding contract. If you bid on a lot and win (even if the bid was placed accidentally), you are liable for payment.
d) If you are mailing payment using FedEx, UPS, any overnight delivery service, or special delivery - PLEASE DO NOT REQUIRE A SIGNATURE FOR DELIVERY. (if we have to track down packages or pick up at Post Office, this will slow the process and result in delay of shipping items).
e) Anyone who does not follow these terms will receive negative feedback and a dispute will be filed immediately, unless a longer term has been worked out in advance with Tim Chapulis, i.e. over sea's buyers or buyers out of the country.
