The songs themselves are fascinating and eclectic, with titles like "The Flight of the Aeronauts", "Take Me Up With You Dearie", "Let's Hop Off for Heaven", "Don't Go Any Higher Jeremiah", "Come Josephine In My Flying Machine", "That Aero Rag Song", "That Aviator Boy of Mine", "Since Katy the Waitress Became an Aviatress", "Hustle, Rustle, Tussle, Muscle", "Drop Me Down In Dixie", "In An Airship Built For Two", "The Demons of the Air", "Me And Jane In A Plane", "In Cupid's Biplane", "Let's Do Some Loving Up In Cloudland", and many, many more. Several of the songs in this collection celebrate famous aviators of the time. "Farewell To Both Of You" memorializes Will Rogers & Wiley Post; "I'm Glad To Be Back In The U.S.A." sets Eddie Rickenbacker's words to music; two songs each celebrate Kingsford Smith and Ruth Elder; three songs each honor Admiral Richard Byrd, "Wrong Way" Corrigan, and Amelia Earhart; and no less than five songs are dedicated to pioneering British pilot, Miss Amy Johnson. The Ruth Elder song "Flaming Ruth" is signed by her "<I>Ruth Elder</B></I>". In addition, several songs celebrate military fighter pilots, and a handful of song sheets are written in various foreign languages. Overall, the sheet music presented here is in fine condition. This mammoth collection also includes two French aviation magazines measuring approximately 11.25" x 14". The French magazines are titled <I>La Vie Au Grand Air</B></I> (1910) and <I>La Revue Sportive Illustree</B></I> (1909). Both are packed with articles, photographs, and illustrations from the early days of French aviation. <I>La Revue Sportive Illustree</B></I> also contains articles on cycling, equestrian shows, and motor car racing. Both magazines are in fine condition.
