<B>Montreal, PQ- Banque Canadienne Nationale</B></I> $10 Feb. 1, 1925 Ch. # 85-10-04<BR> This institution was created in 1924 as a result of the merger between La Banque Nationale of Quebec City and Banque d'Hochelaga of Montreal. The new bank was titled Banque Canadienne Nationale and was successful from the outset, paying off the loan from the Province of Quebec that made the consolidation possible in twenty rather than the previously agreed forty years.
