Monthly Time Record for Forbestown Consolidated Gold Mines (Queen Lease) from August 10th, 1912 to August 20th, 1913. Payroll log of miner’s name, time pay rates and monthly pay. Approx. 30 pages used. 7 x 4" Binding loose. Interestingly the pay rates varied from $2.50 to $4.00 per day which was less than the Comstock bonanza days in the 1860’s and 1870’s. The Forbestown district is in southeastern Butte County about 15 miles due east of Oroville. It includes the Feather Falls area. A former Au-Ag-Cu mine located between 1.1 km (3,500 feet) NNE and 2.0 km (6,600 feet) N of Forbestown. Located in the SE¼ sec. 2. Mineralization is hosted in amphibolite, schist and diorite.
