Highly regarded American actor (1920–1966) best known for his Oscar-nominated turns in such classics as Judgment at Nuremberg, From Here to Eternity, and A Place in the Sun. Agreement between Clift and Paramount Pictures releasing him from his contract with the studio following the release of George Steven’s Academy Award-winning A Place in the Sun, stating “your employment agreement with the undersigned corporation…is hereby terminated by mutual consent.” Signed at the conclusion in black ink by Clift.
