His management of the immense logistical requirements of the war was a significant contribution to the Union victory. Ink signature, “M. C. Meigs, Qur Ma Genl, Bvt Major General US Army,” on an off-white 3.75 x 2.25 lightly-lined slip. Slip is affixed to an 8.5 x 11 blue sheet, along with a printed photo and biography. Scattered light soiling and toning, otherwise fine condition.
