1887. Montana Territory. Stock certificate for one shares of Montana Union Railway Company issued to the B.P. CHENEY (1815 - 1895). The Northern Pacific and Union Pacific jointly organized the Montana Union Railway in 1886 with each initially owning half of the companies stock. The company served the mining region into Butte. Stamp and punch cancellations.
