Presented in this lot are three Montana Photograph Albums from 1882-1960s. Over 300 black & white photographs chronicle life for three Montana families from Glengarry and Lennep in central Montana and Sheridan in southwest Montana. Glengarry and Lennep are now ghost towns. Growth and travels across the United States between 1882 and 1960s. Most photos are of Montana and the Pacific Northwest, but also include many other states. Includes photographs of Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park, including historic Silver Tip Ranch a private guest ranch which is located in the Absarokee Mountain range wilderness a few miles north of the Yellowstone National Park boundary. Photos of the historic Natatorium Park in Spokane, Washington. A charming look at the happier side of family life before and during the Great Depression. Most photographs are dated 1930s and 1940s; one album dates from 1914. Photographs exhibit age related discoloration and fading. All albums exhibit wear to the covers and pages, some pages are loose. One album is a dark blue coloured, crocodile texture cover with a dark blue twisted cord securing the pages, gold gilt lettering on front cover and measures 15"L x 11.5"W. The black cover 1914 album is in book binding form, most pages still attached to spine, measures 12.5"L x 10"W. The last album features a family from Sheridan, Montana from the end of the 19th century and the early years of the 1900s. The marbled color album has a book binding cover, with the hardboard pages attached to the spine, measures 8.25"L x 5.5"W.*
