Available for sale is an outstanding set of floral beaded moccasins from the Flathead Native American Indians of Montana. The Flathead Indian Reservation was established in 1855 and is home to the Bitterroot Salish, Kootenai, and Pend d'Oreilles tribes, also known as the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Nation. The set dates to circa 1900-1920's and shows an Indian tanned hide construction with parfleche rawhide soles showing the proper wear and patina indicative of their early age. The top edge has a fancy beaded pattern with long cut fringe dangling. The top of each moccasins shows a matching floral pattern with a very tight construction with original early petite glass trade seed beads in dark blue, padre sky blue, semi-transparent green, light green, and blue. The set each show a well preserved overall good condition with little bead loss and exceptional quality. Each shows a 9.25"L sold with 3"H ankle.
