This the top end very specialized pattern hand made by inmates of the Montana Deer Lodge Prison. This is a hitched bridle not a braided which is a more tedious and better craft. They would take a wooden dowel and almost loom like the rug. These are made very strong. This design is held very tight to only 2 men who are still in the prison, Domin Pulifico and Chris Mckeon. This Bridle has a very intricate design which is rare and includes bridle, head stall, reign, and riding crop. The reign measures 89" long. These are very rare and hard to come by as this is pre 1995. In 1995 the prison stopped allowing the inmates to hand dye and dowel each each horse hair strand. This piece is from 1980-1990. This is a very patriotic Parade Bridle and could be the finest example on the market. This has white, blues, reds, blacks, all with USA, Flags, Bald Eagles, and more.
