The lot features a set of floral beaded gauntlet gloves from the Crow Native American Indians of Montana. The gloves date to circa 1930 and show an early Indian tanned hide construction. The inside of the gauntlet cuff shows an early period correct calico trade clothe lining. The fronts of the gloves on the cuff show a typical floral design done in peiord correct glass trade seed beads that are trade cotton thread sewn. The beadwork shows corn yellow, orange, cobalt blue, semi-transparent dark green, semi-transparent pink, and cut green glass beads. The set shows the correct wear for its early 20th Century age and is in overall good condition. Each measures 9.5"x4.75" (without fringe) and the fringe is an additional 3"L.
