The lot features a set of circa 1930-1950’s Indian tanned hide moccasins with iconic keyhole pattern in beadwork and quillwork from the Crow Native American Indians of Montana. The set shows an Indian tanned hide with a nice foot worn, soft sole that is sinew sewn and adorned with the keyhole pattern at the top of the foot. The keyhole is comprised of greasy blue wound glass pony trade beads and porcupine quills in natural dyes of yellow, orange, and brown with two hide fringe bearing rolled tin jingle dangle cones at the center. The moccasins also show chalk white and greasy yellow beadwork at the back of the ankle and the original hide tie straps. Overall, the set measures 10.75”L sole by 4”W by 3.5”H.
