The lot features an Indian tanned hide beaded pipe bag from the Montana Crow Native American Indians, dating from the mid-20th Century. The bag is comprised of Indian tanned hide with glass trade seed beads in a pictorial geometric pattern and bordered edge with a squiggly winding river like border, circle, triangular symbols, and maltese cross at the center. The beadwork shows colors of chalk white, royal blue, semi-transparent green, semi-transparent red, greasy light blue, and black. The piece has Indian tanned hide fringes and original tie straps at the top. The piece is mostly supple and soft with the center of the beadwork being slightly stiffened. Overall, the piece measures 33" L by 5 5/8" W.
