This is an excellent museum quality original hand braided rawhide riata (otherwise known as a lasso, lariat, reata) rope. Provenance: from a very large private Wyoming cowboy museum collection. The piece was purchased from the original owners family and is from a Montana Cowboy in the 19th century. The rope shows wonderful tightly braided rawhide and is in very good condition. The rope measures 45 feet long.
