<td width="100%">
Monkey Jester by Gustave Vichy, Paris, Frances Circa 1875. This rare fully animated monkey is fascinating, exhibiting several complex movements. His head moves slowly side to side with appropriate pauses and nodding, the eyes open and close, the mouth opens (jaw and upper lip) showing his teeth and tongue. His arm moves to strum the mandolin. The chair appears to be kept in balance as it almost tips backward then quickly rights into balance as the music plays. All actions and music work very well.
