(New York: Funk & Wagnalls, 1969), first edition, 42 pages, tan cloth binding with gilt and red spine titles and gilt decoration on the front board, 8vo (7.25" x 10.25"), price-clipped dust jacket (in protective Mylar), housed in a green quarter leather slipcase with marbled boards and gilt titles on the spine. On the half-title page, Molly signs "<I>Sincerely Molly and</B></I>" then, underneath, Norman signs in full "<I>Norman Rockwell</B></I>". The Rockwells' ugly duckling tale <I>Willie Was Different</B></I> is the story of an ugly thrushling who, quite literally, finds his own unique voice, a singing voice to be exact. The story has delighted children of all ages since its publication over 40 years ago.
