Collection of 7 gold bullion deposits at S. Molitor's San Francisco office at 418 Montgomery St. Each of these bullion deposit forms is for the deposit of a specific gold bar, in this case, generally weighing about 36-107 ounces of gold. The fineness in gold ranges from 888-950 Fine. The depositor in each case was C.T.H. Palmer, the Wells Fargo Agent in Folsom, Cal. As such it is entirely possible that most of this gold came from the Mormon Island region near Folsom along the American River. A more thorough on S. Molitor can be found in the Rush for Gold, Holabird. San Francisco California Franklin Collection
