<B>Modern Scrimshaw-like Patriotic Display Piece in the Form of a Turtle Shell.</B></I> A unique display piece probably dating from the middle of last century in the form of a turtle shell. The turtle shell itself appears to be cast from form of man-made materials and is carved in a 19th century style with, among other things, portraits of Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, a large eagle and shield, sailing ship, river boat, and the Liberty Bell. At the top a banner proclaims "We Owe Allegiance to No Crown" and a banner under the eagle's wings reads "Under My Wings Everything Prospers".
