Maker: US Government (has Rock Island Arsenal mark). Approx. Age: Late 1800s. Size: 4.75” mouth and is about 9” long overall. Condition: Pretty good for its age, has no slobber bar, but in otherwise decent shape for as old as it is. Additional Info: This model 1874 bit was also known as the “Shoemaker” bit. This one has a faint Rock Island arsenal marking. Please look closely at the pictures - they are an important part of our description.
