Model 1861 U.S. Percussion Rifle-Musket by Savage R.F.A. Co., .58 cal., 40” barrel, old re-nickel finish, wood stock, lockplate and barrel both dated 1863, accompanied by a socket bayonet also nickel plated. This gun is in overall very goodcondition showing the majority of its old nickel finish, good action and markings, overall good to very good wood with “N.J” marking on left side of stock above trigger (“N.J.” also marked on left side of barrel flat near V, P and eagle headinspections at breech); some scattered mars, dings and scratches to stock from carry and storage; “25” stamped on top of butt plate.
