,Offered for sale in this lot is a rare example of a model 1861 Savage Navy Revolver. This is a percussion pistol in a .36 caliber. The Savage Navy was manufactured by the Savage Revolving Firearms Company from 1861 to 1862. It was used by both sides during the American Civil War. MAKER: Savage. No serial number found.  APPROX AGE: Circa 1861 - 62. SIZE: Barrel length is 7 inches.  CONDITION: Very nice for its age, with the exception that the small wedge that holds the tamping rod in place when not in use, is missing.
