iron two ring marked Mansfield and Lamb to ricasso and U.S. GGS 1862 to the obverse side. Original leather and brass wo\ire wrapped handle shows good condition, the pommel stamped with H inspector mark. The 35" blade retains a pleasing gray brownpatina with scattered pin prick pitting heavier toward the tip, the scabbard a nice brown patina single screw in place to hold throat sleeve and both carry rings intact. A nice Civil War sword in very good condition overall.
