Model 1833 Hall-North U.S. breech loading percussion carbine, .52 caliber smoothbore, 26-3/16” barrel with bayonet lugs mounted under muzzle (no bayonet or ramrod), wood stock, sling ring mounted at end of bottomtrigger tang and implement compartment on bottom of butt area. This gun is in overall fair to good condition showing some well-done restoration to the wood beneath the receiver and replacement of the breech release“hook”; metal surfaces show scattered spots of erosion on the barrel and moderate pitting adjacent to the firing areas although inspector’s initials “N.W.P.” still clearly visible; scattered pitting elsewhereincluding the butt plate; accessories door at bottom of butt stock is loose; action good, bore dark; wood stock overall good with aforementioned restoration; hard-to-find in any condition given there were only about7100 of this model manufactured between 1834-39.
