Model 1833 Hall-North U.S. Rifled Breechloading Percussion Carbine, .58 cal., 26-3/16'' barrel, brown lacquer finish, case hardened breech and hammer, walnut stock with accessory compartment on bottom of butt. A scarce variant as breechblock is only marked ''S. North'', with ''NWP'' inspector marks to left side behind rear sight. This exact variant was used by the 2nd U.S. Dragoons during their service in Florida and by the state of Alabama for their city of Mobile's militia unit. Condition is very good. Brown lacquered parts retain approx. 90% lightly thinning finish. Hammer retains 97% vivid case colors; breechblock appears blue. Stock with moderate scuffs, pressure dings, and oil darkening.
